Hi Lumion Community!
Our team was delighted by the quality Projects and renders as entries for our Competition. We know you put a lot of time and effort into each of them and we have enjoyed looking at each one.
We have thoroughly gone through every Image, every Panorama, and every Clip, and after careful consideration, the winners are announced:
🥇1st Place
Lagoon Cube by TF Rendering - submitted by Fabio Tosoni
🥈2nd and🥉3rd Place, to our surprise, had the same score, so in alphabetical order, we have:
Hopton Road Project by Agora Architects - submitted by Ashley Broughton
"Welcome to the Hopton Road Project: an innovative design aimed at crafting a modern, eco-conscious residence nestled within the tranquil rural landscapes of Norfolk. Embracing a distinct Asian-inspired aesthetic, our endeavor seeks to blend sustainability with contemporary design elements.
At the heart of our vision lies a commitment to fostering versatile living spaces tailored for both entertainment and familial activities. Our approach prioritizes the creation of interconnected "pocket zones," ensuring that the home remains functional and inviting regardless of the ever-changing external climate conditions. In essence, our focus revolves around optimizing the architectural massing to enhance usability throughout the year, transcending the conventional constraints of seasonal limitations"
Little Red School House by Alan Ford Architects - submitted by Emma Meriwether, Associate AIA, LEED Green Associate |
"In the world of architecture, the transition from physical to digital representation poses intriguing challenges. While design education emphasizes hands-on model construction to grasp spatial dynamics, professional practice often relies on digital building models, sidelining traditional craftsmanship. The 'Little Red School House' project in Snowmass, CO exemplifies this shift. Situated amidst steep terrain, the design ingeniously integrates the ground floor into the slope, creating a seamless connection with the surroundings. Elevating the second floor provides exterior access while preserving the site's integrity. This project highlights the intersection of tangible and virtual realms in modern architectural practice, prompting reflection on the evolving role of physical model-making in a digital age."
Big congratulations to Fabio Tosoni, Ashley Broughton, and Emma Meriwether!!
