Hi Ana,

I understand the frustration, we've been at it with Nvidia for a while. To speed up the process, it always helps to contact them and report the issue to explain how it's affecting you. It seems that they were responsive about the second part of the issue they caused (the 24 and newer crashes) but haven't addressed yet the older versions of Lumion.

From our developers they received a way of reproducing it and have access to Lumion. So they should be able to figure out what was left out of the driver.

the Nvidia driver update that came out April 28th did not fix the issue on my end for Lumion 12 it seams to only have helped Lumion 2024 users.

I believe you misunderstand the issue at hand here.

The first report we sent to Nvidia was about Lumion 12 back in February. The fact they haven't addressed it yet means it's probably higher complexity and requires a lot of work for their new architecture. The issue doesn't occur on older Nvidia GPUs.

As for the issue that happened in the past, it was also because of Nvidia releasing drivers immediately when they launched their 40x0 series and it's documented here:

It is a very similar situation and there is historical precedent. It took 3 months for Nvidia to address it in an official release back in 2022 (Jan 23 was when the driver fix was added) and most likely it will be a similar estimate now.

Thanks for trying and noting here.

I took a look at the release notes. Sadly nothing in there for us that I could see. Looks like a rollup of the prior release with some recent patches, plus a few fixes for some games.

As release 576.40 12 May 2025 is now a newer WHQL release then use 576.40. Not yet tested by us.

Lumion 12.5 supports up to Nvidia 40 (GeForce and Quadro) series cards.

And also the NVidia 50 (GeForce (known) and Quadro (unable to test here)) series cards, except for the moment there is a driver issue that NVidia are working on making a fix for Lumion 12.5 and older.

Does that help to clarify things for you?

What series card do you have or are looking at getting? Because there are other options if its an urgent requirement.
