Have you ever wanted to move the camera to the world center or to some other location because you have been working on an object that is very far away?

You can use the super-fast navigation keys Spacebar + Shift + navigation keys. Or double-right click on a distant object to teleport the camera there (so long as there are no objects in the way).

But when you are 1000s of meters away from the world center and need to get back then this short sequence of steps will make it easier for you:

I've been working on the project here, and need to get back to world center:

1. From where the camera is, place any object from the Lumion Object Library - for example, a Bollard, 3D character or plant:

2. With the object selected set its Position to 0,0,0:

3. Then use the Focus on Selection tool in Extended Properties:

You are instantly teleported to the world center:

This works also for other positions (of course if you know the co-ordinates or roughly what they are).

One other option worth mentioning is making use of stored Photos. The camera can be positioned for the view of any that you have in Photo Set 1. Any spare Photos, you can use as location views. Restoring the view using the hotkeys SHIFT + number key takes you there immediately.
